Ormewood Park Restoration

Where possible, existing trim and decorative woodwork were carefully removed, stripped of paint, and reinstalled.  Where necessary, new trim pieces shaped to match the original profiles were custom milled to allow a seamless transition from old to new constructions.  Lower Level walls, once covered in plaster, were re-covered using an assembly of two layers of gypsum wall board to allow original woodwork to be re-fit where plaster was originally used while providing a substantial cost savings over new plaster.  This assembly and detailing, while not following purist restoration practices, was the most appropriate method for this very cost-sensitive project.
